Smartphone Flash Tool only supports Mediatek Based Devices (MTK Devices). It's not advisable to use the application on chipsets that aren't made by Mediatek, any attempt to use this software on unsupported device my result in bricking of such device.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO USE SMARTPHONE FLASH TOOL (SP FLASH TOOL)
- MTK Android device
- PC / Laptop
- Smartphone Flash Tool (SP Flash Tool)
- USB Data Cable for flashing of device
- MTK USB-VCOM Drivers
- Firmware package containing scatter files
- Notepad
HOW TO USE SMARTPHONE FLASH TOOL (SP FLASH TOOL)
- Properly install Mediatek USB-VCOM Driver, see tutorial on MTK Drivers Installation
- Download SP Flash Tool from the links provided below
- Unzip the SP Flash Tool package, open folder and select Flash Tool.exe, select run as administrator
- Unzip your android device firmware package, ensure that scatter file is present in the firmware package folder
- Go to SP Flash Tool and select scatter loading, navigate to the scatter file present in the firmware package folder, double-click to select
- After files have been loaded, click on the menu below scatter loading, select any of the three options, preferably download only.
- Click on the download button at the top of the application
- Wait for the files to load into your device, you’ll see a progress bar at the bottom of the application, do not switch-off or disconnect your device until the flashing process is complete.
- Once flashing is complete you’ll get a Download Ok notice, simply disconnect your Smartphone and power-on.
